Terry is a strategic thinker & social entrepreneur.
Combining a strong background in strategic consulting, integrated design and entrepreneurship with a natural flair for selling ideas at the highest level. Terry has lead multi-disciplinary teams in the formulation of unique, integrated design solutions for local and international brands.
He also has widespread experience across the African continent and the Middle East having worked extensively in South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Brazzaville, Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, Botswana, Egypt & the UAE.
Terry has worked with many of Africa’s best-loved brands including GLO, First Bank, Mansard, Barclays, Airtel, CAF, Orange, SAA, JTI, Design Network Africa and Nestle. South African brands worked with include Eskom, Telkom, BP, Multichoice, IDC, Cell C, Neotel, Brand South Africa, Tsogo Sun, Reliable Music, The Scorpions, The SA Presidency, Reliable Music FNB, Standard Bank and others.
He has additional experience in the field of social marketing and social entrepreneurship. He has advised and consulted to the governments of Kenya, Botswana and South Africa in social marketing and has set up and implemented social entrepreneurship programs in the same countries.
Terry is a fellow of The Africa Leadership Initiative, a director of the Southern Guild Design Foundation as well as a former advisory board member of the World Brand Congress (WBC), a global brand think tank representing 92 different countries.
His 2014 book “Connect with the continent” helps brands to understand key consumer trends and social movements across the African continent. He also hosts a regular TV segment on SABC International Channel 404 that highlights design, brand, commercial and social trends across the continent.
